Not less than 12 persons are being held hostage at a Miami restaurant following a cellphone theft Monday afternoon, authorities stated.

The supervisor of Jackson Restaurant is believed to be holding the group hostage after a cellphone theft occurred outdoors the eatery, Miami police stated.

Cops say a lady contacted police saying administration was holding folks within the eatery and it is unclear whether or not the hostages are workers or prospects.

A SWAT group breached the entrance door to barter with the restaurant’s administration and hostages, police stated.
