A brazen robber armed with a shotgun stormed right into a Bronx financial institution Thursday and made off with $eight,000 money, officers mentioned.
The gunman wearing a black jacket and denims brandished the weapon inside a Financial institution of America on White Plains Highway close to Pelham Parkway South in Morris Park about 10:25 a.m.
He jumped behind the counter, grabbed his haul and took off on foot, cops mentioned.
Police have been attempting to trace down the criminal.
Lower than 90 minutes after the theft, NYPD Commissioner James O’Neill tweeted out surveillance photos of the suspect.
“Know this man?” O’Neill wrote. “He had a rifle & ran away with money. No accidents, fortunately.”
“Public security is a shared duty,” he added, asking anybody who acknowledges the suspect to name Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls might be saved confidential.
