Manhattan prosecutors dropped assault prices Wednesday in opposition to former New York Yankee Pat Kelly and his girlfriend after the pair stopped cooperating with authorities.
Kelly and his gal pal, Marina Cernova, have been arrested on Oct. 1 after they bought in a battle on the tony London Resort on W. 54th St., cops stated on the time.
Kelly, 50, accused her of punching him within the face. Cernova, 34, informed police he grabbed her by the arm and pushed her.
However the pair stopped speaking to authorities, main prosecutors to ask a Manhattan decide to seal the case charging them with misdemeanor assault. Neither Kelly or Cernova have been in courtroom.
“The Individuals cannot show this case with out every social gathering’s cooperation, and because of this are shifting to dismiss because the Individuals can’t show the case past an affordable doubt,” Assistant District Lawyer Anthony Freeman stated.
Video from the resort didn’t present the battle, Freeman added.
Kelly, an infielder, performed seven seasons for the Yankees from 1991 to 1997. A message to his legal professional, Alex Spiro, was not returned. Cernova couldn’t be reached.
