BOSTON — Airline officers say a JetBlue Airways airplane slid off of the taxiway at Boston’s Logan Airport.
Officers say JetBlue Flight 50 from Savannah, Georgia, briefly skidded when it landed round 7:15 p.m. Monday. Firefighters helped passengers off of the airplane they usually had been bused to the terminal.
The airplane hit a patch of ice left by the wintry climate that blanketed the northeast on Christmas Day, after which began fishtailing, in accordance with WCBV-TV. Authorities say nobody was injured.
The Massachusetts Port Authority tells WHDH-TV that snow pressured the airport to shut its runways for a brief interval Monday morning. Massport officers say runways had been cleared by 11:30 a.m.
