Passenger Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Sleeping Lady On Flight

A passenger is accused of sexually assaulting a 22-year-old lady as she slept on a flight from Las Vegas to Detroit.

Prabhu Ramamoorthy was taken into custody Wednesday after exiting the Spirit Airways flight at Metro Airport.

The lady awoke “to a hand in her pants and seen that her pants and shirt have been unbuttoned,” in line with the criticism obtained by the Detroit Free Press.

She mentioned the suspect was placing his “fingers in her (genitals) and vigorously shifting them. When she totally awoke, the person stopped,” in line with the newspaper. The lady was visibly upset and crying when she notified the flight attendants.

Ramamoorthy would inform an FBI agent that he “‘may need’ undone (the girl’s) bra whereas taking part in with it, and that he had cupped her (clothed) breast,” in line with the Free Press. Moreover, he instructed authorities that he tried to place his finger in her vagina “however was not profitable,” in line with the criticism obtained by the paper.

The suspect is from India and isn’t a U.S. citizen, in line with the newspaper. He was charged with aggravated sexual abuse.

Spirit spokesman Stephen Schuler mentioned the airline is “totally cooperating with regulation enforcement.”
